VOSD has been preparing and installing Solar Home System (SHS) in Barisal and Jhalakathi districtd covering Uzirpur, Barisal Sadar, Mehendigonj, Jhalakathi Sadar, Nalchity and Kathalia Upazillas with the support of IDCOL-Bangladesh from 2014 and has been installed more than 2280 SHSs, which has been used by the beneficiaries and other community people and continuing SHS installations. The SHS use has been reducing fuel and electricity consumptions, pressure on electricity supply, carbon evaporation in the air, which is promoting total environment and preventing climate change.
