VOSD has been preparing and installing improved fire stoves in Barisal district covering Uzirpur, Barisal Sadar and Mehendigonj Upazillas with the support of GTZ-Germany from 2006 and has been installed more than 4200 improved fire stoves, which has been used by the beneficiaries and other community people. Now VOSD has been installing ICS in Uzirpur and Barisal Sadar Upazillas with the support of IDCOL-Bangladesh and already 3170 ICSs has been installed and continuing installations. The improved oven use has been reducing carbon evaporation in the air, which is promoting total environment and preventing climate change.
