Since inception in 1987, VOSD has been implementing WatSan program with the help of NGO Forum and still supports are continuing. Apart from Andheri Hilfe-Germany, APHD-Thailand, DPHE, BMWSP, UNICEF, World Bank, ICCO-Netherlands, SKN-Netherlands etc. donors had been supported and supporting those programs. Already 2,105 deep tube wells, 17,512 shallow tube wells, Rain Water harvesting Plant 515, Pond sand filter System 385, Pond Re-excavation 378 and 465,877 water sealed latrines have been installed. Developed 47 VSCs (latrine production centers). Slab latrines are produced in the VSCs and supplied to the community people continuously and 350,000 pit latrines with the help of the beneficiaries. Under the above program, VOSD has been implemented arsenic awareness raising and mitigation program supported by BMWSP, DPHE, World Bank etc. raise awareness among 3500,000 people, red marked 3500 tube wells and installed 370 tube wells and trained up 15,000 stakeholders like UP persons, related persons, local leaders etc. who have been working to raise awareness among the community people.
